This month’s Sustainable Red Bank will be:
Understanding Eco-Anxiety
Eco-anxiety is a phenomenon that is just beginning to be recognized and named as more people become directly impacted by climate change, massive weather events, sea level rise, and other environmental changes. In this talk, Blair Nelsen will explain what eco-anxiety is and how it can manifest in our lives. She will teach heart-centered strategies for coping with eco-anxiety, avoiding burn-out, and cultivating personal resilience.
Blair Nelsen is Executive Director of Waterspirit, a nonprofit center for spiritual ecology based in Rumson, NJ. Through Waterspirit, she co-facilitates a 10-step eco-anxiety support group that will be described further in this talk.
