Stormwater Management & Your Community

This month’s Sustainable Red Bank is:

Stormwater Management & Your Community

We have altered our water cycle. The amount of impervious surface cover in our communities is impacting the natural operations of our watersheds. New Jersey communities are experiencing increased localized flooding. There are benefits of implementing green infrastructure toward community health, such as increased property value. May this discussion help demystify the process of identifying best next steps for your New Jersey town’s stormwater management plan today for tomorrow.

Our speakers will be:

Rachel Dawn Davis, the Public Policy & Justice Organizer at WATERSPIRIT, a locally based nonprofit ministry of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace as well as a 2020 Green Infrastructure Champion.

Lee Clark, the Environmental Justice Policy Manager at New Jersey League of Conservation Voters Education Fund, a non-partisan non-profit that works to protect New Jersey’s precious natural resources by raising awareness of key environmental challenges and increasing the efficacy of the entire environmental community.

Alison Jones, the Watershed Program Coordinator at Clean Ocean Action, a non-profit based in Long Branch, NJ that is dedicated to improving the degraded water quality of the marine waters off the New Jersey/New York coast.

You must register for this program. Enter your information below and we will send you Zoom details the day of the event.
