“Carbon Pricing: Pros, Cons, and Politics”: Many experts say a robust and rising price on carbon is key to reaching our GHG emissions goals. But the implementation of carbon pricing policy in the US has been quite limited. We’ll talk about why this is, and we’ll address questions like: What does it mean to “put a price on carbon”? How can a carbon fee and dividend mechanism help achieve a just transition? How do politics, both domestic and international, come into play? Join us to learn more about where carbon pricing fits in getting to zero GHG emissions.
